Apsley won the Ringwood Publishing Short Story 2024 Competition for his debut fiction submission, "Immersion".

This was published on 9 January 2025.  ​

​Apsley has gone on to pen several short stories and novels in the noir / mystery / horror /fantasy genres; many of which have already been published.
